I simply fell in love

It all began with anime.

At the age of nine, I became captivated by anime girls singing and dancing on stage in beautifully detailed outfits. I fell in love with the ribbons, lace, bows, pastels—everything that embodied dreaminess and delicate expression.

When I discovered that fashion designers were the creative minds behind clothing, my mom gifted me my very first sketchbook. That’s where I designed my first piece: a rose-printed dress paired with a soft blue coat and white gloves. I had no idea how to sew, but I had found something I loved.

Though I didn’t touch a sewing machine until I arrived at Belmont, the ten years leading up to it were devoted to one thing: fashion design. I began altering my clothes by hand, designed countless collections, and ultimately produced and designed for my high school’s fashion show.

It’s a simple story.
I fell in love with something beautiful—and I’ve been chasing it ever since.
